First off ... apologies to everyone that I haven't responded to yet about Reverb. Will be doing that tonight, I hope.

But why I'm posting today is to have a little rave about the wonderful, the amazing, Mandy Patinkin.

He's currently on tour in Oz, and I went to see him last night with some friends.

This morning I just had to go on record as saying that if you get any opportunity to see him perform you should grab it with both hands and thank your lucky stars for it. He was simply amazing. Amazing!

I can't begin to tell you what a consummate showman he is. He was performing at our Concert Hall, which is a great auditorium, but on the large side, and he filled it with his personality and his talent.

He was funny, and touching and sang the most amazing mix of songs from Sondheim to things like Alexander's Ragtime Band and And the Band Played On. It was an extraordinary evening, and I will be forever grateful that I got the chance to see him.

Just thought I'd let you know, in case the chance ever comes your way and you wonder if you should take it.

Truly one of those experiences that makes you know you're alive and that life is just wonderful.

Know what you mean. Am so happy you enjoyed seeing him and his performance was so great. I LOVED him in Chicago Hope. He was marvelous as the neurotic cardiac surgeon who listened to his pants make sounds as he walked to make his creative process work.

I liked him in that, too.

He was simply delicious.
