wren_kt7ozFor those who wondered, in the last drabble (see Valentine's Day - Taylor-Kinney Style), how on earth Justin talked Brian into holding a dinner party at all ... let alone on Valentine's Day ...
This one is Adults Only - for the language if nothing else.
Learning From the Master
Kinney Operating Manual (Revised): Extract
One: Pick your moment - ideally when Brian’s not thinking with the brain in his skull.
“Emmett’s going to come over one night next week.”
“Mmmmmm!”
“Ted’ll probably drive him.”
“Uh-huh.”
Two: Misdirection – give Brian an easy win in the wrong argument.
“Do you think they should stay the night?”
“Fuck! Why?”
“It’s a long drive.”
“It’s less than thirty fucking minutes.”
“Okay.”
Three: If necessary fall back on ambush.
“What the fuck?!!!”
“Oh, well. Ted and Emmett were coming anyway, so I invited a few other people.”
Finally: Be prepared for a deliciously sore ass.

Date: 6/2/13 10:00 am (UTC)Justin really does know how to handle Brian. And somehow I have a feeling that Brian knows that and enjoys taking his revenge on Justin's ass. Not that Justin has anything against that.

Date: 6/2/13 09:40 pm (UTC)And I suspect that somewhere deep in his heart Brian actually kind of enjoys being "made" to do some things that are outside his usual comfort zone - especially when Justin's manipulations (and subsequent "punishment") mean he's allowed to keep his king-of-cool self image in the process.
