I'm thrilled that Justin gets this moment of validation for his initial perceptions of Brian. I really feel for him. Being with Brian really is like walking through a mine field, every single word has to be picked so very carefully.
I also have a lot of faith in Justin's intelligence and perception...but frankly his level of success with Brian is miraculous...or perhaps destined? Justin is human and he has and will continue to be human-like in his selfishness and occasional self-absorption. Brian doesn't have it easy either, but they still work TOGETHER. I think that is exactly why their love story is so awesome.
As for Mikey. I totally understand where he is coming from. C'mon. It's obvious: BRAIN DAMAGE. All those suffocating hugs and slaps to the head from Deb. Why to you think Brian constantly pulls Justin out of Emmett and Deb's embrace? He has seen with his own eyes what all that lack of oxygen has done to Mikey. SNORT.
