I truly appreciate this comment, because I have a real soft spot for this story myself.
It really was a 'gift'. I sat up all night one night writing it and - honestly, it simply wrote itself. Even the next morning I had no memory of actually "thinking up" any aspect of the story. It all just flowed into my head and out from my fingers without me doing anything at all except click on the keys.
