I think one of the things that tends to happen as you "grow up" is that your social circle adapts and widens. Brian's smart enough to know just how far to mix business with pleasure, and how to flatter his key clients by implying they have a personal relationship. And to nudge Justin in that direction by inviting his agent and Sydney Bloom.
Plus, I think he'd feel a certain loyalty to the clients who helped hin start up the agency, and of course Sydney's gallery hosted Justin's first show.
Really, in the end, the only people who might have been kind of out of step were Michael and Deb. Deb's confident enough to roll with the punches on that stuff. But Mikey would feel threatened.
