Mel had the thing with Leda, the affair with the other woman in S1 and we see her dating in S5.
But Lindsay ... we never see her interested in any other woman. But meanwhile ...
We know she has the thing about Brian (don't we all!), she was going to marry Gui, she had the affair with Sam.
On preponderance, I'd have to say she's bi at best and probably tending more towards the hetero end of the spectrum.
As for Ted and Emmett - yes, as I've said before, the real friendships between Ted and Brian and Emmett and Brian were among the very few positive takeaways for me from the last two seasons.
