Who's the Pussycat?


It’s funny how people still seem to see him as some innocuous little kitten who has to be protected from the dangerous man-eating alley cat. They haven’t felt his claws. Or his bite. He’s definitely a damned tiger. Or, with that fucking mane, maybe a lion.

So when he decides to go to the store at three in the morning for some shit he just has to have for breakfast, it’s not because I think he needs protecting that I go with him.

It’s because I know if I “make” him go alone, he’ll make me fucking suffer for days.

LOL I can only imagine the ways Brian has felt Justin's claws and bite. I'm sure he even enjoyed most of them. ;)

I do love that even while others tried to still treat Justin as a child, Brian never did. :)

Thank you very much. And ITA about the Brian knowing Justin thing. Fanfic often focuses on how well Justin knows Brian, but I think the opposite is true also, and I think it's what makes them work. They're "onto" each other - Justin sees through the whole 'asshole' persona and Brian sees right through the sweet little blond twink thing. *g*

That's so true. Fanfic is full of references of Justin knowing just how to handle Brian, and not to take that away from the boy genius at all, but it seems as if Brian's sensibilities toward Justin are mostly glossed over and his 'cluelessness' is played up.

I so enjoyed this drabble because, to me, it spoke of Brian's capacity to put Justin before himself. Not just his desire to do so, but his being able to do it and willingness to do it, which are, for the most part, rare in fanfic.

They're definitely onto 'each other'; it's not a one-way street that Justin cruises alone. And it does make them work.

As for the 'protecting' thing. Ah, yes, very true. But to admit that, Brian would have to admit that he gives a shit. LOL

Let's let him at least pretend that the only reason he lets Justin drag him to the store at three in the morning for something he almost certainly won't want to eat himself for breakfast is that it's in his own self-interest. *g*

Justin is NOT a wimpy guy, and I love how you write him. I think Brian adores Justin when he's feeling feisty. And I think it is totally hot that Brian went with Justin at 3 am just to make sure none of that 'feisty-ness' is directed at him come morning, lol.
