Thank you. Glad that you enjoyed it and that the creepy factor worked. It's why the story turned out to be so much longer than I'd bargained for - well that and the fact that it gave me the chance to build up the characters and fill up their back story. But IMO there are really only two options with 'creepy' - it either has to be really really short and sharp (which wouldn't work here because there was so much to explain) or you have to give it time to build.
