For some reason this story is a very special one for me.
Perhaps because I've never felt like I actually wrote it. It just came to me, almost like automatic writing. The only bits I can consciously remember "thinking up" were the elves on the Kauffman's clock and using the Igloo in one of the scenes (because I love the Pens and have such good memories of that building).
All the rest just kind of flowed from my fingers to the keyboard without me seeming to have much to do with it.
It really was a "spirit gift", if that makes sense.
