I deliberately worked on putting Justin's feelings very much to the forefront in Homecoming, because of the backlash against the character post 513. I hated that "Justin" got blamed for C/L's screw up. If that makes sense. Glad that I managed to achieve what I was going for.
I loved sharing their happiness too. It's not just that I believe that they deserve to be happy, and together, after all they've been through. But I think we deserve it too.
As for the paragraph you quoted - yes, ITA - so much of what they've been through has been brought on them by "friends" who just can't keep their noses out of bj's business.
But, as a sort of preview hint, I have to tell you that most of their friends have got big troubles of their own at the moment, so they're not going to be spending nearly so much time dabbling in bj's life out of sheer boredom with their own. :)
